1. Maintain and troubleshoot all production line equipment associated with the Maintenance Group to prevent and/or correct electrical breakdowns.
2. Troubleshoot and repair all electrical/electronic equipment and control equipment associated with the maintenance group.
3. Communicate and coordinate with Operations and Maintenance Team Leaders any corrective maintenance required on assigned equipment to insure optimum line efficiency and product quality.
4. Perform preventive maintenance inspections on all production equipment listed above as assigned by the Operations or Maintenance Team Leader. Participate in the development of a documented preventive maintenance plan. Recommend and implement continuous improvement on equipment/systems design.
5. Recommend and implement continuous improvement on equipment and system design through use of the team concept.
6. Troubleshoot and modify programs on existing programmable controllers and write new programs for existing and new programmable computers.
7. Analyze equipment failures. Recommend and implement corrective action.
8. Communicate with area maintenance personnel on other shifts, as necessary, to ensure coordination of all maintenance efforts on assigned equipment and effectively operate as part of a team.
9. Active member of the Plant Emergency Response Team.
10. Perform relief as required by production schedule.
11. Utilization of SAP System to document Maintenance activities.
12. Support implementation of maintenance/production QCDSM ideas/suggestions.
13. Maintain a good working relationship with all equipment operators on all shifts.
14. Conduct training for production maintenance, support maintenance, and equipment operators in areas of responsibility.
15. Manage spare parts and standby equipment for assigned production lines.
16. Conform to organization's Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's).
17. Perform area housekeeping duties.
18. Perform all work in a safe and efficient manner consistent with lockout/tag out, hot work, fall protection, and other OSHA regulations.
19. Must be able to work in high temperature areas- the location produces cheese products
20. Perform other duties as designated by the team.
21. Understands and accepts QCDSM culture and is supportive of plant and department team
goals and vision.
22. Actively supports maintenance QCDSM and QCMS initiatives.
- 2-3 year experience is preferred
- Person must have a working knowledge of Maintenance of electronic/electrical power and control systems and/or demonstrate sufficient training and experience in electronic/electrical power and control systems.
- Must have a working knowledge of electrical installation and construction.
- Experience with Bradley Allen PLC's and 480 V is required.
- Experience in manufacturing or with consumer products good is preferred.
- Must be willing to train self and others in problem solving/troubleshooting of electronic/electrical circuitry's.
- Must be willing to upgrade skills in areas where skills are not at the required level.
- Must be willing to complete training on basic mechanical skills and develop a working knowledge of mechanical repairs and overhauls.
AC & DC drives, interpret and make changes in PLC code (RSLogix 5, RSLogix 500, and RSLogix 5000) be familiar with Drive Executive, RS Studio, RSView 32, Devicenet, Controlnet, Panelbuilder 32, RSLinx etc... Be able to upload and download in a variety of communication protocols RS232, DH-485, DH , Ethernet, Controlnet, Devicenet and other protocols. Maintenance of transformers, switchgear, Motor Control Centers, Panel boards, and other electrical systems the ability to recognize electrical parts and replacements. Design of electrical control cabinets. Familiar with Ishida Scales, Checkweigher, Flow Meters, Wastewater equipment, telephone systems, networking, calibrations and documentation.
