Maintenance Director
Citadel Healthcare is seeking a Maintenance Director for The Citadel of Northbrook. The Maintenance Director’s primary purpose is to plan, organize, develop and direct the overall operation of the Maintenance Department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations, facility established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by the Facility Administrator.
Maintenance Director Essential Job Functions:
- Oversees the physical maintenance and operations of the facility and facility systems.
- Directs the maintenance department operations, including the budgeting, safety programs and OSHA site repairs/construction, for the purpose of providing services within established timeframes and in compliance with related requirements.
- Collaborates with internal and external personnel (i.e., contractors, vendors, etc.) for the purpose of implementing and/or maintaining facility services and programs.
- Performs facility and property inspections, identifies and reports maintenance issues, creates/completes work orders as needed.
- Manages hazardous waste disposal programs, coordinates the environmental health and safety program and maintains current records for all state, federal and/or other inspections.
- Assesses incidents for the purpose of resolving or recommending a resolution to the situation. Organizes/implements a preventive maintenance program.
- Performs and/or solicits vendor assistance for the maintenance/repair of mechanical systems, HVAC systems, boilers, generators, and other devices while maintaining OSHA compliance standards.
- Participates in the review/completion of appropriate resident assessment items when/where applicable, review of quality indicators, quality measures, and survey results appropriate to maintenance services and makes the necessary changes that will correct the identified or potential problem areas.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Five (5) years of skilled experience in maintenance
- Three (3) years of supervisory maintenance experience
