Director of Fleet Maintenance

Sharkey Transportation, a Leader for over 50 years in West Central Illinois and NE Missouri transportation, is seeking candidates for Director Of Maintenance in our Quincy, Illinois offices.

The Director of Fleet Maintenance is Responsible for Managing and coordinating the Maintenance and repair of all vehicles and equipment to ensure safe and reliable operations.

Duties include but not limited to:

• Maintain accurate records of all repairs made including routine and preventative maintenance.
• Manage Staff including training and continuing education .
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory policies.
• Evaluate continuously the overall conditions of the fleet to improve reliability and performance.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure maintenance is scheduled to minimize disruption of business operations.
• Say current with technology changes and industry trends.

Requirements

• 5+ years of maintenance management experience.
• Strong Knowledge and understanding of the maintenance planning process.
• Knowledge of DOT and other related rules / regulations.
• Must have an excellent understanding of warranty repairs , maintenance, parts management, and best practices in continuous improvement processes.
• ability to function independently with little or no supervision as well as function in a team environment.

Pay commensurate on experience.
