Main Office Secretary
SUMMARY:
Bilingual Spanish and English-speaking Main Office Secretary works in the administrative office of our middle and high school and greets all staff, families and guests. Our secretary will be responsible for performing daily clerical work such as answering all phone calls, interacting professionally with students and parents, making school announcements and mailing school forms to parents.
Normal work hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily. However, the position will require flexibility with respect to work hours in order to meet the needs of parents, including early mornings, evenings and weekends. The position may also require occasional assignment to different work sites.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
Provide front desk coverage;
Technology Device Support-Key and Device Checkout;
Provide administrative support to various Departments, as needed, including ATS reports as requested;
Use lunch forms report from ATS and perform parent outreach when lunch forms are missing;
Assist with Admissions Department with student/family outreach and enrollment, including but not limited to ATS, Student Information System, enrollment paperwork, pending discharges, discharges etc.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree preferred;
At least two years of experience working in an urban setting with both general education students and students with disabilities;
Bilingual Spanish is required.
The following qualifications are also preferred for the position:
o Experience with convening workshops;
o Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal and problem-solving skills;
o Experience working with families and parents in education and/or community issues.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $58,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
