The Enterprise Technology team at Hudson River Trading (HRT) is looking for a macOS Endpoint Engineer to solve HRT-specific macOS issues in our complex and highly technical environment. In this role, you will be a subject-matter expert for a team of technicians supporting end users across the firm. We'll rely on you to keep the day-to-day running smoothly with great macOS endpoint management skills and design solutions. You will have the opportunity to deliver highly visible and impactful solutions, and assist in improving HRT's macOS endpoint uptime and productivity.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot day-to-day issues with a hands-on approach. You'll be the escalation point for macOS engineering, security, and deployment-related issues across HRT.
- Investigate why issues happen, provide long-term solutions to prevent them from happening again, and maintain clear documentation for future reference.
- Research, test, and implement best practices for our technical stack and processes, and educate end-users, both technical and non-technical, on those best practices.
Qualifications

- Deep knowledge and experience with macOS.
- Experience provisioning, deploying, and maintaining macOS endpoints using Mobile Device Management (MDM) (e.g. Jamf Pro, Workspace One, Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Google), Apple Business Manager, and other tools (e.g. AutoPkg, Munki, osquery).
- Experience in one or more languages (e.g. Bash, Zsh, Python, etc.).
- Familiarity with enterprise networking (802.1x, IPv4, etc.).
- Experience working with collaboration tools, conferencing systems, remote IT tools, and ticketing systems.
- Ability to effectively communicate in technical and non-technical language, and translate information into comprehendible documentation and requirements company-wide.
- Ability to empathize with the end-user and swiftly craft solutions under pressure.
Annual base salary range of $140,000 to $180,000. Pay (base and bonus) may vary depending on job-related skills and experience. A sign-on and discretionary performance bonus may be provided as part of the total compensation package, in addition to company-paid medical and/or other benefits.
