Description/Job Summary
The Endpoint Management Engineer resides within Simpson Thacher & Bartlett's Global Platform Engineering organization. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation and security of our organization's endpoints, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and servers. Your primary responsibility will be as product owner of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett's Endpoint and Systems Management platforms. The Endpoint Management Engineer is positioned alongside Desktop and Server Engineering teams. The Global Platform organization is responsible for deploying, configuring, and managing Endpoint Management solutions, implementing security policies, and troubleshooting any issues that arise.Responsibilities/Duties
- Design, implement, and maintain Endpoint Management platforms and solutions
- Promote the data and offerings available from Endpoint Management platforms that will improve process and decision making across all IT towers
- Develop and deploy configuration profiles, scripts, and policies to manage endpoint settings, applications, and security
- Perform operating system deployments, migrations, and upgrades where necessary
- Monitor endpoint health and performance, and proactively identify and resolve issues
- Implement and enforce security policies to protect endpoints from threats
- Partner with parallel Infrastructure teams to improve hardware & software asset management domains
- Stay up-to-date on the latest Endpoint Management technologies and best practices.
- Perform any other duties as needed
Required Experience
- 5+ Years of Endpoint Management experience
- Extensive knowledge of platform systems, I.E. Tanium, SCCM, Landesk, etc
- Intermediate to advanced level knowledge and experience with market leading Endpoint Management platforms
- Strong understanding of Windows and MacOS operating systems; Linux knowledge is a plus
- Intermediate level experience with scripting languages, such as PowerShell, Python, Bash, Shell, etc
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Required Education
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field

Salary Information
NY only: The estimated base salary range for this position is $140k to $190k at the time of posting.
The actual salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. This role is exempt meaning it is not overtime pay eligible.
