Machinist (Manual And Cnc)

Gear Motions, a growing Employee Owned company, has a need for an experienced CNC or Manual Machinist. Must also have some experience setting up either manual or CNC equipment and using required inspection instruments.

Basic Duties for the Manual or CNC Machinist include:

• This is a 1st Shift position.
• High School diploma or equivalency
• Experience running Manual or CNC lathes, Mills or Grinders - Prior experience as a machinist is needed.
• Must be able to use gage to inspect parts to insure parts meet customer specifications.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow Customer and Engineering requirements.
• Ability to be punctual on a daily basis.
• Ability to learn and take notes while training with one of our senior machinist.
• Authorized to work in the United States

Qualifications and Skills

• High School diploma or equivalency
• 1st or 2nd Shift (10% shift differential)
• The ideal candidate will have 2 years experience setting up and using various Manual and CNC manufacturing equipment.
• Good mechanical ability and with good shop math skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow Customer and Engineering requirements.
• Ability to be punctual on a daily basis.
• Ability to learn and take notes while training with one of our senior machinists.
• Authorized to work in the United States
