Machinist Level 2

Job description

Working as a Full-Time Machinist level 2, You will be able to Setup and operate CNC Mills, Lathes, and other machine shop equipment with limited supervision. During manufacturing steps, inspect parts to ensure they are within tolerance using precision measuring tools such as height gauges, calipers, micrometers, etc.

DAY SHIFT:

Monday-Thursday 7 am-4:30 pm

Friday 7 am-11 am.

• Read and interpret drawings with limited help
• Read and understand production process work instructions and drawings to gain a thorough understanding of requirements with limited help
• Follow a plan of action to manufacture parts according to drawing specifications and production process work instructions with limited help
• Setup tools and fixtures, load them into the machine, and set offsets
• Set parts X, Y, and Z offset in the machine control
• Measure parts throughout the manufacturing process and adjust offsets as needed
• Perform job requirements with limited supervision
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Maintaining equipment located throughout the machine shop
