mpany into one of the premier suppliers of thermoplastic seals in the world with several locations in the U.S. We have immediate openings in the Splicing and Extrusion department. In this role, you will prepare seals and gaskets to be joined together according to customer specifications. Positions are temp to perm with benefits, medical insurance, dental, vision retention bonus and vacation package once perm. Come join our team today!
Responsibilities:
Join seal corners
Check gasket and magnet lengths according to work instructions
Trim and pack gaskets for shipping
Feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machines
Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools
Test operation of machines periodically
Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws
Keep records of approved and defective units or final products
Maintain activity logs
Working hours: 3:00 PM - 2:00 AM (Various Shifts Available)
Skills:
Proven experience as an Extrusion Machine Operator or in a related manufacturing role
mechanical aptitude and ability to understand and operate complex machinery
Knowledge of extrusion processes, equipment, and procedures
Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures related to machine operation and manufacturing environments
Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with other team members and supervisors
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
previous machine operation experience
Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures related to machine operation and manufacturing environments
Detail-oriented with a focus on producing high-quality output in a timely and efficient manner
Ability to stand for extended periods
must be able to accurately read a measuring tape and able to turn the measure into fractions
Ability to work exposed to hot, cold or humid conditions and vibration.
