Job Summary
We're looking for a skilled Machine Operator to safely and efficiently produce parts for homes across the nation. A great punch press operator is reliable, able to work with attention to detail, and works effectively alone as well as in a team. For the most part, you will be running a press independently, once training is complete, but some jobs will require cohesive teamwork.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Set up machines to start a production cycle
- Control and adjust machine settings (e.g., speed) for optimal output
- Set up raw material or parts to feed into semi-automated machines
- Quality check parts according provided specifications
- Load and set up un-coilers
- Label and box parts coming directly out of the punch press
- Troubleshoot issues that might occur during the shift
- Regularly check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws
- Keep accurate production counts and enter them into time system
- Clean up work area at the end of each work day
Qualifications and Skills
- Drug free workplace
- Adherence to health and safety regulations
- Attention to detail
- Teamwork and communication skills
- Able to lift 10-25 lbs repeatedly throughout the day
- High school diploma or equivalent is a plus
- Experience as a Machine Operator is a plus
