Machine Operator- Afternoon Shift 2:30P-11P

We are on a mission to grow Second Nature Brands 4x from $250MM to $1+B in the next 4 years through a combination of organic growth (increased distribution, e-commerce, and innovation) and through M&A. We have an opening for a Packaging Machine Operator position, who will be an important member of the supply chain team during this growth.

A Packaging Machine Operator is a vital member of our production team, assists in the process of creating our signature square shaped caramels by tempering/manage the chocolate production! This is a new role that will give you more flexibility as you learn different roles to be adapt to what's needed.

Essential duties and responsibilities include:

• Efficiently monitor and run various packaging machines
• Ensure accurate code dates, weights, and that products are put into appropriate packaging
• Perform assigned preventative maintenance
• Troubleshoot & correct packaging machine problems
• Clean packaging machines and maintain a clean work environment.
• Assist with setting up and changing over of packaging machines
• Work with team lead and supervisor to hit performance targets
• Follow all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), Q&FS (Quality & Food Safety), and OSHA Safety policies
• Maintain clean and safe work area
• Preform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• At least 18 years old;
• High school diploma/GED;
• At least 1 year of Machine Operator experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment;
• Self-directed;
• Ability to work well with peers and supervisors;
• Attention to detail;
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to keep production lines running efficiently.

Physical Requirements:

• Standing for 8-10 hours;
• Walking up and down stairs;
• Lifting up to 50 lbs frequently;
• Working in slightly elevated temperatures;
• Wearing proper personal protective equipment (PPE) provided by company.

Afternoon Shift 2:30p-11p Monday through Friday. Qualified candidates must be willing and able to work daily overtime as well as weekends as needed.

The starting pay rate is $17.06 per hour plus $1.00 shift premium for afternoons and midnights.
