As a Machine Operator at our fabrication shop in Columbus, GA, you will be a great asset to our team.
What we’ll love about you:
· Experience as a Machine Operator in similar role
· Skilled in operating CNC machinery and tooling (Brakes, Press and Plasma Cutting) as well as precision measurement tools
· Ability to read and interpret structural/blueprint drawings
· Ability to understand structural steel fitting process
· Computer savvy with basic understanding of computer programming and CAD/CAM
· Mechanical aptitude and good math skills
· Must be safety conscious and adhere to safety processes and policies
· High school diploma or equivalent; certificate or diploma in engineering or relevant discipline is an asset
What you’ll work on:
As a Machine Operator at Steelcon, you will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining and operating equipment. As a self-motivated team player, you will use your skills to successfully work with your assigned machinery to keep it running efficiently, think on your feet, and make quick decisions. At all times, you will maintain strong attention to detail to ensure no machinery issues go unnoticed.
Shift:
· Monday to Thursday: 7:00am to 4:30pm | Friday: 7:00am to 4:00pm
