Machine Operator

Position: Safely operate CNC and related equipment to produce a quality product in an efficient manner. Participate and contribute to a team environment.

Job Requirements:
· Written and verbal communication skills to comprehend and provide information or instruction.

· Basic math and reading abilities at a 10th grade level.

· Good observation skills required for machine operations and quality checks.

· Good interpersonal skills required to work in a team environment.

· High school diploma or GED certificate.

· Correctly use quality measurement tools.

Significant Aspects and Accountabilities:
· Perform all duties and operations in a safe and efficient manner.

· Load machine tools, feeding conveyors, or assembly fixtures.

· Monitor all equipment for potential malfunctions, maintenance issues and quality concerns.

· Unload parts from machine tools or assembly fixtures.

· Perform quality checks, verify gauging, and assure quality requirements are met.

· Pack finished parts in appropriate dunnage and containers to secure for transport.

· Create and affix proper labeling and markings to containers as required.

· Responsible for proper housekeeping of assigned area of the shop including machinery, equipment and floors.

· Train and assist other employees as necessary.

· Promptly report any safety issues, personal injury, or potential hazards to supervision.

· Materials and processes involve high temperature operations.

· Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.

Physical and Mental Requirement:
· Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. on a frequent basis, with up to 40 lbs. on an occasional basis.

· Must be able to stand for up to 4 hours at a time.

· Mental concentration and manual dexterity required to safely operate machinery, and perform quality responsibilities.
