Extrusion Operators are responsible for performing set-ups, operating machinery, identifying acceptable or unacceptable product quality according to customer requirements.
Qualifications:
- Read and comprehend production process sheets and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
- Set up equipment and ensure production materials are available.
- Operate the machines and observe them during production. If problems are detected, stop the process and make adjustments or refer major problems to production leadership and/or maintenance.
- Collaborate with co-workers, supervisors and managers to achieve productivity and location goals.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and report potentially unsafe conditions.
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment and assigned area.

- Ability to lift up to 40lbs
Job Duties:
- Championing Patrick Industries safety policies through example, wearing all required protective equipment to maintain a safe work environment—Safety Glasses are required on the production floor.
- Troubleshoot machine based off training to identify sources of problems and fix them as they arise
- Stacking and packaging parts as needed
- Strive to increase personal operations knowledge and experience with safety mechanisms of assigned machines, functions of machines from mentoring supervisor, cross training on additional machines or in additional areas.
- Other duties as needed
Job Requirements:
- Ability to assess basic blueprints or sample parts
- Must be able to remain in a stationary upright position for up to 100% of the shift.
- Work in a fluid environment—fast-paced, efficiency-driven when orders are high; when slower, focusing on longer-term projects or seeking out areas of opportunity.
- Must be able to position self above, below, and around all parts of the machine.
- Communicate effectively with partners regarding a variety of tasks
- Candidates must be goal oriented as they will be responsible for meeting deadlines
- Capable of working with others in a group or Team setting
- Must be able to read a tape measure, micrometer, protractor, and calipers
- Safely change out tooling as necessary
- Excellent attendance and understanding of value that all Team Members add to the Team.
