Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate a Robotic Welder, manual press or dial table according to specifications and machine operating instructions.
- Fill out hourly check sheets with accuracy and problem identifying information.
- Maintain maximum production efficiency in a manner consistent with the highest quality and minimizing downtime.
- Set up fixtures and welder according to the Part Control Plan.
- Lift and load parts per instructions. Pushes buttons to start and activate machine.
- Observes machine operations, supplies, and position of work pieces to detect malfunctions or misaligned parts.
- Unloads parts from welder and places into a specified container.
- Periodically checks parts for non-conformance.
- Inspects joined components for defects.
- Assist in sorting of parts as needed.
- Seeks out additional responsibilities during down time.
- Understand and know how to stop machine with Emergency Stop Buttons and Main Power, and procedure for reporting malfunctions.
- Responsible for following all lock out/tag out procedures.
Education and Skills Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year related experienced preferred.
- Ability to attend all scheduled shifts and to arrive on time.
- Ability to follow all quality inspection procedures.
- Available for overtime on short notice.
- Willing to work in a repetitious manner.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Must have the ability to read and interpret drawings, use simple math and basic hand-held measuring tools.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production requirements.
- Able to learn and use our MRP system Plex.
Physical Demands:
- Exposure to industry accepted chemicals and noise.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and 75 pounds assisted.
- Able to stand on feet for 8 hours.
- Regularly required to stand, reach, bend and move around the facility.
