Summary

The Maintenance Technician serves an integral role in the Manufacturing process by keeping equipment and the facility clean, maintained, and running. The Maintenance primary responsibility is to maintain all equipment used in the Manufacturing process, and secondarily maintain the building which includes fire alarm and extinguishers checks, tank system, lights, air conditioning unit, paint touch ups, fixing and doing minor repairs on building.


Routine Work

  • Performing preventative maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment in an efficient, clean, and sanitary manner following SOP's and current GPMI Practices. Follow schedule generated in Manager's schedule.
  • Responding to breakdowns of equipment as needed on production floor in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assisting in the setup and adjustment of manufacturing equipment in an efficient, clean, and sanitary manner following SOP's & current GPMI practices.
  • Work on equipment in the Maintenance room for more complicated repairs and to restore damaged equipment.
  • Repair and or replace damaged areas of the building, may include paint touch ups, patching up holes, checking minor leaks and additional building repairs.
  • Obtaining specialist components, fixtures, and fitting, as necessary.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation.
  • Creating Maintenance procedures.
  • Managing stocks of supplies, tools, component parts as needed.
  • Keeping track of and keeping costs to a minimum, following maintenance budget.
  • Creating Maintenance procedures as necessary to keep up with GMP, OSHA, FDA regulations.

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma/GED and or ability to read and comprehend technical service manuals and follow instructions.
  • Read, write, and speak fluent English.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Manufacturing Environment
  • At least 4 years of experience as a manufacturing technician or similar work experience preferred.
