Full Job Description
Main Job Tasks & Responsibilities
- Set up and supervise all layout for field construction, topo's and as-builts • Ensures all GPS, total Stations, and GPS machines are checked in on a regular basis (control points and calibration) • Performs basic troubleshooting of GPS machinery • Communicates with PM Team on any issues, problems, or scheduling needs • Conveys GPS capabilities and limitations to project Superintendent or Foreman for layout expectations • Reads and comprehends plans • Set up digital excavation files & update as required • Other tasks as assigned
Skills & Requirements
- High School diploma or GED is preferred. • Five (5) years related experience is preferred • Willingness and ability to travel to and from job sites. • Ability to understand and operate GPS Rover is preferred • Aptitude to follow verbal and written instruction. • Concentration, alertness, and attention to detail. • Ability to work with others and/or independently under minimal supervision. • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions • Valid Driver's License is required. • General computer operation is necessary.
