Machine Automation Technician – Manufacturing – Base Salary to 33.00/hour – Denton, TX

• Our client a large construction materials manufacturing company who has been in business over 75 years is looking to hire a Machine Automation Technician. In this role you will be programming and aiding for automated manufacturing machinery located on the shop floor, encompassing press brakes, plasma tables, CNC beam lines, CNC benders, and CNC pipe cutting equipment. The role involves creating both standard and customized part programs derived from detailing output.

Responsibilities:

• Actively programs each automated manufacturing equipment unit.
• Manages software for individual equipment, ensuring seamless integration with upstream operations.
• Offers support in organizing and utilizing files for automated equipment processes.
• Establishes best practices for generating machine files in collaboration with detailing and engineering teams.
• Addresses and troubleshoots production issues related to individual part programming and processes.
• Recommends improvements in tooling, consumables, and processes to enhance manufacturing efficiency.
• Organizes and distributes released part files for production, creating cut or process schedules for each equipment piece.
• Collaborates with shop supervisors to resolve issues associated with automated manufacturing.
• Contributes to recommendations for capital equipment, tooling, consumables, and process enhancements.

Qualifications:

• Completion of a 2- or 4-year degree program with a concentration in Architectural Drafting, Manufacturing, Engineering, or CNC programming, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Successful completion of credit courses in CAD/CAM programming or equivalent practical experience.
• Advantageous to have experience in both operating and programming automated manufacturing equipment.
• Familiarity with post-processors and proficiency in working with programming templates.
• Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office, 3D modeling software (such as Autodesk Advance Steel, Inventor, Revit, AutoCAD), DSTV File Format, and Pro-Nest Plasma Software.

Compensation:

• Base salary in the 30.00 – 33.00/hour range
