Title: LVN Surgical Cosmetic Surgery
Reports to: Physician and Administration
Initial responsibilities include but are not necessarily limited to:
● Responsible for obtaining patient vitals and medical histories
● Prepares patients for medical exams and surgery
● Assists the physician during exams
● Collecting and prepares for laboratory
● Draws labs and prepare for submission to various lab vendors
● Complete patient charting by end of day
● Updating medical histories and medical records
● Updating patient medication history
● Performs IV-therapy as directed by provider; IV certification required
● Instructs patients about medication, diets, procedures and office flow
● Experience with patient education related to diabetes and binge eating, as needed
● Administers and prepares non-narcotic medications as directed by provider
● Monitor medications refills in EMR only
● Dispense medication as needed from onsite dispensing pharmacy
● Performs allergy testing as directed by provider
● Experience or knowledge with allergy-immunology and patient education for program treatment when needed
● Performs EKGs
● Responsible for obtaining patient consent for office procedures
● Experience or knowledge of following preferred: Fat-freeze, Liposonix, Shock-wave, Ultrasound, Tens-Unit, Hyperbaric Chamber, Metabolic Testing, ANS
● Maintaining positive patient relations with care calls, follow up and personalized treatment
● Assist front desk with answering phones and scheduling as needed
● Oversee and assist surgeon in center
● Orders office and medical supplies
● Monitoring and maintaining par levels of medical supply inventory on weekly basis
● Help patients feel at ease in the physician’s office and explain the physician’s instructions
● Responsible for maintaining equipment on a daily basis – clean exam rooms and machines
● Participate in weekly team meetings and ongoing staff training sessions
● Provide metrics for administration on patient care calls, follow up
REQUIRED SKILLS
● Must be a licensed nurse with IV certification
● Must be knowledgeable on office procedures, practice standards, and medications (staff will be tested yearly)
● Must be able to float to other offices as needed
● Must be capable covering any department when needed
● Proficient with navigating computers, tablets and phone systems
● Knowledge and experience with EMR platform, DrChrono, strongly preferred
● All applicable licenses / certifications are required for employment and must be maintained throughout
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
