SUMMARY:
Hamilton Community Schools is seeking a part-time Lunchroom Supervisor/Food Service Worker for food prep and lunchroom supervision at the elementary and secondary level.
LOCATION: Blue Star Elementary-Lunchroom Supervision and Food Prep and cafeteria supervision at HS or MS.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Supervise and Oversee students during breakfast and lunch periods.
• In between breakfast and lunch report to HS or MS to help with daily meal production.
• Cooking daily menu items.
• Washing, and portioning of various fruits and vegetables.
• Operating a cash register.
• Help in maintaining a clean and orderly work environment including dishwashing, cleaning cafeteria tables, sweeping and mopping floors.
• Maintaining production records.

• 18 years of age and a high school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to relate well with students, staff, and others in a positive manner
• Ability to communicate clearly in verbal and written form
• Ability to follow written and oral communication and comprehend instructive materials
• Basic math skills
• Ability to operate a cash register
• Ability to problem-solve
• Ability to handle a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to handle more than one task at a time
• Must enjoy working in a team environment
• Ability to pass the food safety certification course every five years

REPORTS TO: Food Service Supervisor
START DATE: 2023-2024 School Year
WEEKLY HOURS: 5 hours per day, Monday-Friday (school year)
SALARY RANGE: $14.33/hour (start)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The employee will be on his/her feet throughout most of the shift. Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, operate a computer, hand-held learning devices and other office equipment, reach with hands and arms, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40+ pounds.
