LITTLE APPLE CARS LUBE SHOP FOREMAN
OBJECTIVE:
The primary objective of the Automotive Lube Shop Foreman is to elevate the overall efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction of the lube department. This entails optimizing technician proficiency, enhancing workflow processes, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
JOB TASKS:
The Shop Foreman is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the lube department. Key tasks include:
  • Supervising & Training Lube Technicians
  • Ensuring adherence to quality standards
  • Maintaining efficient workflow processes
  • Develop and implement schedules
  • Assign work orders
  • Monitor job progress to maximize productivity and customer satisfaction
  • Conduct performance evaluations
  • Provide coaching
  • Foster a collaborative team environment
  • Maintain a clean and organized shop
  • Utilize all technology available to the dealership
  • Perform quality control inspections
  • Answer technical questions presented by lube technicians
  • Assist in Lube Shop operations
  • Provide insight into onboarding/termination of employees
  • Effective communication
  • Continuous process improvement and problem-solving

COMPENSATION:
The Lube Shop Foreman shall receive a salary base of $1,300 per month and is expected to work Monday to Friday 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, 8 hours per day for no more than 40 hours per week. The Lube Shop Foreman will receive a bonus based upon an increase in Lube Shop Proficiency which is tracked by management. The proficiency bonus will be as follows:
  • Less than 69.9% = $0.00
  • 70% - 74.9% = $650.00
  • 75% - 79.9% = $1,300.00
  • 80% - 84.9% - $1,950.00
  • 85% - 89.9% = $2,600.00
  • 90% - 94.9% = $3,250.00
  • 95% - 99.9% = $3,900.00
  • 100% - 104.9% = $4,550.00
  • 105% - 109.9% = $5,200.00
  • 110% & up = $5,850.00

Monthly Bonus compensation is subject to change at management's discretion in the event of a change in lube technician count.
PROBATIONARY PERIOD:
Upon successful completion of the 90-day probationary period, we will conduct a performance review and reevaluate the pay plan structure. At that time, we will discuss and consider any additional components or metrics that may need to be incorporated into the pay plan to better align with the shop's objectives and the Shop Foreman's responsibilities. This review process will allow us to make any necessary adjustments to the pay plan to ensure it remains effective and fair for both parties.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 2 years of experience working as an Automotive Maintenance Technician
Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
Professional personal appearance.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to meet the company's production and quality standards.
