At NMC Health, we we're proud to set an award-winning standard for healthcare and are in need of an LPN/RMA Orthopedic &Sports SpecialistsIn this role, you will perform general nursing services of assigned physicians and/or department. In accordance with HIPPA regulations, this position requires full access to Protected Health Information (PHI). This position assists in multiple areas based on the needs of our clinics. In this role, duties may include but are not limited to; rooming patients, collection of health history, data entry, phone triage, assisting providers with patient care and procedures. 

As of 6/21/23 there is no longer a need for either vaccination confirmation or medical/religious exemption.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience and Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Registered or Certified Medical Assistant
  • Graduation from accredited school of Licensed Practical Nursing
  • Licensure as an LPN
  • 1 - 2-years clinic experience preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of medical terminology to communicate with laboratory staff, nursing staff, providers, and physicians.
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public.
  • Ability to carry out instructions of doctors.
  • Ability to exhibit initiative and sound judgement in the absence if specific orders.
  • Ability to anticipate provider's needs. 
  • Ability to work independently. 
  • Ability to read and understand oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to follow protocols.
  • Ability to communicate clearly.
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Knowledge of medical office procedures
  • Knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctions
  • On the telephone and in face-to-face contact with patients he/she represents the doctors to these people, and by his/her personality, warmth and efficient helpful manner plays a vital role in the doctor's practice. By exhibiting a cooperative, helpful manner toward other clinic employees, the medical assistant can elicit cooperation and help from others when needed.
