Authorization Specialist

We are looking for a full-time Authorization Specialist. The ideal applicant is someone with sound customer service skills, a solid work ethic, computer skills/experience, ability to multi-task, attention to detail, ability to work as a team-member and maintain team chemistry, adaptability and a high level of organizational skills. The applicant should have knowledge of medical terminology, billing, and insurance; with 1-2 years of experience obtaining authorizations or working with insurances. The Authorization Specialist is responsible for obtaining authorizations for imaging, surgeries, DME, injectables, clinical services, and physical therapy. This position is expected to secure all authorizations and notify the appropriate party in a timely manner so that patients receive service with minimal to no delay.
