OhioGuidestone is seeking a dedicated and compassionate LPN Supervisor to join a team of clinical professionals presiding over our Berea Children's Residential location. The Nursing Supervisor works under the supervision of the Regional Medical Manager and will be responsible for providing administrative and floor support, being the liaison for Psychiatry and Medical providers and providing supervision, training and support for nurse staff. This will primarily consist of first shift hours but may require occasional weekend work. Are you ready to make a difference? - Maintain complete and current medical records regarding all persons served.
- Provide medical/somatic services, pharmacologic management services, case management, witness urine screens and monitor OARRS reports as clinically indicated; update treatment plans as clinically indicated.
- In collaboration with the team, ensure a comprehensive health history is obtained and appropriate referrals are made, as needed, for further assessment and treatment.
- Assist persons served, family members of persons served and other staff regarding MAR education.
- Manage client wait list for MAR; manage the Provider’s MAR list for DEA requirements.
- Assist Providers with monitoring provider dashboards to ensure accurate information and assist in correcting errors.
- Participate in on-call responsibilities for clients receiving medication from organization.
- Assist in managing the psychiatric monitoring list.
- Assist in monitoring medical compliance on site and training of staff in medication monitoring at inpatient treatment facilities and recovery housing.
- In collaboration with supervisor and organization human resources assist in developing and monitoring performance improvement plans of assigned nursing staff.
- Supervise nursing staff at assigned location(s).
- Manages the time keeping and payroll system for assigned staff.
- Achieve and maintain annual productivity expectation of 50%. Need to be actively engaged in reaching 40% within 90 days of position start date.
- Perform duties in accordance with applicable professional ethics and standards and established organizational policies.
- Comply with all state and federal laws regarding protected health information.
Education, experience, and license certification:
- Active LPN license issued by the state of Ohio
- Five years of nursing experience in a psychiatric or substance use setting, experience working with children seen favorably.
- 3 years supervisory experience preferred
