Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing treatments, and monitoring vital signs.
- Document patient information and maintain accurate medical records using electronic health record systems such as eClinicalWorks and Athenahealth.
- Assist physicians and registered nurses in procedures requiring aseptic technique, such as wound care and sterile dressing changes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Utilize sonography equipment to perform basic diagnostic procedures under the guidance of a physician or registered nurse.
- Monitor and operate neonatal ventilators for patients requiring respiratory support.
- Provide health coaching and education to patients and their families on topics such as disease management, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications.
- Adhere to infection control protocols to prevent the spread of infectious diseases within the healthcare facility.
- Assist with medical coding and billing processes to ensure accurate reimbursement for services provided.
Requirements:
- Valid licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of {location}.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems such as eClinicalWorks and Athenahealth.
- Knowledge of aseptic technique and ability to perform sterile procedures.
- Familiarity with sonography equipment and basic diagnostic procedures.
- Experience operating neonatal ventilators for patients requiring respiratory support.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Ability to provide health coaching and education to promote patient self-management.
- Understanding of infection control principles and practices.
- Basic medical coding knowledge is preferred but not required.
- Physical ability to lift, move, and transfer patients when necessary.
