Duties and Responsibilities for a LPN include but are not limited to the following:
LPN Licensed Practical NurseResponsibilities:
- Performs nursing care in relatively structured, routine situations. Administers multiple forms/methods of treatment, under the direction of the RN Supervisor
- Prepares residents for diagnostic tests, treatments, examination, PT/OT, etc., according to protocols.Sets- up required documentation for physician visits and transcribes orders timely.
- Prepares and administers medications, according to protocols.
- Follow facility procedures /protocols for admitting residents, transferring residents to hospitals/clinics/outpatient and completion of appropriate documentation based on established guidelines.
- Administers intravenous infusion in accordance with the facility’s Nursing Department Policies, procedures and Infection Control Guidelines.

Educational Requirements
Successful completion of State Approved Nursing Assistant Training and Competency Evaluation Program. Good standing in the state registry is required.
