Description:
Licensed Practical Nurse responsible for providing nursing services directed towards promoting, restoring, and maintaining the health of employees and prospective employees through coordinating physical examination and immunization procedures. Contributes to the initiation, implementation, and evaluation of the nursing process under direct supervision of the registered nurse.
Possesses skills in evaluating and analyzing, clarifying, teaching, motivating, organizing, and advising. Able to communicate effectively with others. Must be able to make sound judgments and recommendations as well as ascertain probable causes for Employee Health problems.
All duties are performed within Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and Center of Disease Control (CDC) regulations, Joint Commission Accreditation Hospital Organization (JCAHO) guidelines and hospital policies
Position Requirements:
A: Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Georgia
B. Education: Graduate of an accredited program of practical nursing. BLS certification required.
C: Experience: Minimum of two years LPN experience in a clinical setting. Occupational health experience preferred.
