Employee Health & Benefits Line of Business Trainer

The Employee Health & Benefits Line of Business Trainer will support company initiatives, colleague onboarding and ongoing colleague development through a blended (virtual, classroom and self-guided) training approach, with an emphasis on agency management systems, industry best practices and core technical aspects of the various Employee Health & Benefits Account Management roles, across all skill levels.

We will count on you to:

  • Lead the training process for onboarding colleagues in conjunction with the Line of Business Leader and EH&B subject matter experts, to include line of business foundational knowledge, technology solutions/navigation and industry/MMA best practices. 
  • In collaboration with the Operations and Line of Business Leaders, develop and deliver ongoing colleague enrichment training to include refresher courses on core content in addition to introduction of intermediate and advanced subject matter.
  • Develop teaching aids including training materials, reference materials and visual aids in various training formats, e.g., PowerPoint, Flipbook, Brainshark, Camtasia recorded modules, etc.
  • Collaborate with Line of Business Leader, Operations, Human Resources and other stakeholders to identify knowledge gaps and ensure successful fulfilment talent development needs.
  • Maintain current knowledge of new product offerings and changes as they pertain to the Employee Health & Benefits.
  • In conjunction with the Operations and Line of Business Leaders, encourage ongoing colleague development by promoting engagement of self-guided content located in our national training platform (MMA University).

What you need to have: 

  • Ability to affect positive change and collaborate with senior management, effectively working across all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Demonstrated experience in presenting to a diverse group across multiple skill levels.   Prior training experience preferred, but will strongly consider a Sr. Account Manager with 5+ years of exemplary performance in Employee Health & Benefits.
  • Strong organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize workload and balance multiple projects simultaneously, and demonstrated successful follow through on deliverables.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Learning & Development or other related discipline; or equivalent professional experience of 3+ year(s) in Employee Health & Benefits insurance at either an agency/broker or carrier.
  • Strong knowledge of customer relationship, agency and learning management systems (CRM, AMS, LMS, etc.), such as Sagitta, ImageRight, Applied/Epic, Salesforce and Appinium preferred. Demonstrated experience with comparable products will also be considered.
  • Prior experience with eLearning authoring software, e.g. Camtasia, Adobe Captivate, preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, with emphasis on MS PowerPoint and MS Excel.
  • Must have Resident State Agents License.
  • Ability to travel to regional offices – 35%
