Low Voltage Technician

Locally owned security company is looking for a highly motivated and experienced technician. Candidate must have good trouble shooting skills, good written and verbal communication skills, able to take on consistent workload of both installations and service calls, and must be able to work with minimal supervision.

Position is based out of Downers Grove, IL with customers in Northern Illinois, Northwestern Indiana and Southern Wisconsin.  Company service van is supplied.

Must be a US citizen or resident and able to communicate in English. We require a background check and drug test for all employees. Salary and compensation based on experience.

Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of experience installing and repairing card access control, intrusion and CCTV systems is required

Experience with Honeywell intrusion systems is required

Experience with Honeywell and Securakey access control systems is required

Experience with AiPhone intercom is required

Ability to acquire a PERC card is required

Experience with Openpath access control systems is a plus

Experience with Avigilon camera systems is a plus

Experience with clock systems a plus

Experience with sound systems a plus

Ability to read blueprints

Ability to use desktop/laptop/portable computers, and smartphones

Ability to properly use test equipment

Ability to recognize different colors

Ability to work under tight deadlines

Ability to work weekends if required

Must have own hand tools

Ability to lift 75 lbs.

Excellent mechanical and troubleshooting skills

Since of urgency to complete jobs in a timely manner

Valid driver's license

Able to continuously train and learn new products and skills
