Job Overview - Senior Accountant
Join our client's team as a Senior Accountant and play a vital role in the financial operations of their growing company in the mortgage industry. Compensation: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 + bonus
Location: Montgomery County, PA - Hybrid
Responsibilities as the Senior Accountant include:
- Financial Reporting and Analysis: Perform comprehensive financial analysis, prepare detailed reconciliations, and execute accurate journal entries. Perform variance analysis to support financial decision-making.
- Financial Statements Preparation: Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, annual reports, and presentations for internal stakeholders and external partners.
- General Ledger Management: Oversee the general ledger operations, ensuring meticulous accuracy and adherence to GAAP and other regulatory standards.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Work collaboratively with various departments to aid in the budgeting and financial forecasting processes, enhancing financial predictability and control.
- Audit and Compliance: Coordinate audit activities, provide essential documentation, and ensure compliance with internal controls, external regulations, and accounting standards.
- Strategic Projects: Engage in special projects aimed at streamlining financial processes and upgrading financial systems and software.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain robust relationships with internal teams and external financial partners, ensuring transparent communication and professional representation of the finance department
Qualifications of the Senior Accountant include:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- 2+ years of public accounting experience or 3+ years of solid GL accounting experience.
- Experience in the financial services industry, particularly mortgage, banking, or insurance sectors, is preferred.
- Strong proficiency in financial analysis, reporting, and general ledger accounting.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
