LOSS PREVENTION SPECIALIST

THE POSITION:
Under the supervision of the Risk & Safety Manager, provide ongoing training and support of Loss Prevention (LP) and asset protection policies and procedures while managing, maintaining, and implementing Loss Prevention programs and security controls that eliminate risk and loss. This role establishes strong partnerships with management and the local law enforcement community, representing Goodwill in a professional manner that reflects the values and standards of the organization’s mission and goals.
As a Loss Prevention Specialist, you will:
- Awareness & Prevention:
- Communicates, trains, and educates Loss Prevention programs and strategies.
2. Facility Protection:
- Assists with integrity and elements of facility physical security system including locks, key control, and issuing (including vehicles, fobs/access control, and alarm systems as assigned based on territory.
3. Investigations & Case Management:
- Effectively utilize Loss Prevention systems to support efficiency
4. Partnership:
- Partners with stakeholders and appropriate department leaders and manages processes to ensure that all open cases and investigations are closed timely.
5. Training:
- Ensures 100% customer satisfaction and buy-in while delivering training.

THE QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2-5 years+: Loss Prevention/asset protection experience in a multi-unit capacity preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2 years: CCTV, Burglar, Fire alarm Maintenance/Monitoring technical skills
- Access Control (Key & Lock Systems / Electronic systems)
- Relevant Bachelor’s degree preferred
- LPQ/LPC, Wicklander-Zulawski Interview and Interrogation, or other certification a plus.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to work occasional after-hours and weekends
Incumbents must possess a valid driver’s license, appropriate insurance coverage, and a privately owned reliable means of transportation to travel throughout Goodwill territory.
