Long Term Substitute- English Teacher

GREATER NEW BEDFORD REGIONAL VOCATIONAL TECHNICAL HIGH SCHOOL
TITLE: Teacher- High School
REPORTS TO: Department Head
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree and Math Certification preferred Salary increase after 25 days.
WORK YEAR: Starting January 2, 2024
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Meets and instructs assigned students in designated locations and times.
2. Develops and maintains an environment conducive to effective learning.
3. Prepare for assigned classes and shows written evidence of preparation upon request of superior.
4. Assists students to set and maintain standards of appropriate behavior.
5. Employs a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media to meet the needs of the students,
6. Implements the district's philosophy of education and instructional goals and objectives.
7. Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities.
8. Evaluates student progress on a continuing basis.
9. Maintain accurate, complete and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulation.
10. Enforces school rules, administrative regulations, and board policy.
11. Is available to meet with students and parents for education related purposes outside the instructional day when required or requested to do so.
12. Participates in faculty meetings.
13. Cooperates with other members of the staff in planning instructional goals, objectives, and methods.
14. Assists in the selection of books, equipment, and other instructional materials.
15. Maintains open lines of communication with students and their parents concerning their educational and behavioral progress.
16. Participates in staff and faculty meetings.
17. Participates in the evaluation process.
18. Performs other duties as needed.
