Wisconsin Diagnostic Laboratories (WDL) is a wholly owned subsidiary of The Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin regional health network, which is a partnership between Froedtert Health and the Medical College of Wisconsin supporting a shared mission of patient care, innovation, medical research and education. Location: US:WI:MILWAUKEE at our WI DIAGNOSTIC LABORATORIES facility.
FTE: 1.0
*1.0 FTE is Full-Time, any position less than 1.0 FTE is Part-Time, and .001 FTE is Casual*
*Positions with an "FTE" (FULL TIME equivalency) of .8 - 1.0 are eligible for full-time medical, dental and vision benefits. Positions with an "FTE" of .5 - .799 are eligible for part-time pro-rated medical, dental and vision benefits*
Shift: 1ST SHIFT (3:00 am - 11:30 am; Monday - Friday)
Summary:
Using appropriate phlebotomy techniques, drives to LTC clients and private homes to collect specimens from patients and enters data into the computer system.
Qualifications:
1. High School Diploma or GED
2. Completion of external phlebotomy program including clinical and 12 months experience with phlebotomy being a regular daily responsibility, including a minimum of 100 draws
OR completion of Wisconsin Diagnostic Laboratories Phlebotomy School including clinical and minimum 6 months experience with phlebotomy being a regular daily responsibility, including a minimum of 100 draws OR in lieu of education (in either case), minimum of 2 years FULL TIME experience with phlebotomy being a regular daily responsibility, including a minimum of 100 draws.
3. Windows-based computer skills and also skilled in clerical functions such as telephones, e-mails, pagers, running copy and fax machines.
4. Valid driver’s license and Department of Motor Vehicle record meeting the requirements of Wisconsin Diagnostic Laboratories’ Vehicle Liability Policy
5. Map reading and way-finding skills throughout the Greater Milwaukee area.
