Job Summary:
The Long-Term Care Admissions Coordinator assists the Director of Nursing and the Administrator in reviewing and coordinating admission clinical and financial information. This includes but is not limited to pre-admission clinical and financial assessments, establishing relationships with hospital, community, and family sources, developing, and maintaining census information and their day-to-day recording and charting of medical or administrative information in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations. This position does include driving resident's to appointments as needed; driver's license is required.
Minimum Qualifications for the Job:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred education: Associates degree in business administration or LPN / RN preferred.
- Experience(s): Three (3) years of experience in a long-term care, hospital, home health, or medical facility.
- Licenses / Certifications: Valid State of Alaska Driver's License
Internal Hires: Pay rate will be determined based on applicable personnel rule or union contract terms.
