The Long Haul Driver will utilize a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) to operate a commercial vehicle to deliver vehicles and products in-state or out-of-state. The role will load and secure loads for delivery and pickup at manufacturing facilities, and retail and distribution centers. The Long Haul Driver will work with the dispatch team to complete assignments. 

As a Long Haul Driver, you will:

• Operate a commercial vehicle in compliance with all Department of Transportation (DOT) rules
• Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers across the country
• Load and secure products and vehicles for safe transport
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical and safety issues and check fluids daily
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
• Document and log all work and rest periods and miles spent driving using an electronic logging device (ELD) or on a paper log when necessary
• Retain fuel, toll, and hotel log and receipts
• Comply with all DOT rules and regulations
• Maneuver trucks into load or unload positions
• Report defects, accidents or violations immediately

To be considered as a Long Haul Driver, you will need:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Class A Commercial Driver’s License
• Excellent motor vehicle driving record
• U.S. Citizen or U.S. Person allowing for International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) compliance
• Ability to drive a manual transmission
• Ability to pass a DOT physical, background check and drug screen
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to travel for long periods of time, utilizing sleeper cab
• Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations including hours of service (HOS) limitations

A successful candidate may also have:

• Experience in car hauling
