This individual will be involved in all phases of the shipping process and acts as a liaison between the CSR, production, QC, the warehouse, logistics, the carrier and the customer to coordinate on time shipping.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process customer orders by receiving in SAP, arranging bulk transportation, scheduling loading times and posting shipments in SAP
- Manage logistical issues with truck carriers
- Track late truck shipments and carrier issues
- Track/trace outbound railcar shipment
- Maintain customer files and paperwork
- Assist in inventory reconciliation and perform SAP material movements
- Distribute mail within the plant and process out going mail
- Verify/approve freight invoices and Resolve any discrepancies.
- Prepare paperwork and labels for sample shipments
- Generate reports for weekly and monthly meetings, including data entry as needed.
- Attend daily meetings with production to review shipping schedule.
- Perform miscellaneous administrative duties
- Manage C-TPAT system
- Coverage/Backup for vacations/illness for other logistics desk.
- Will Support EHSSQ, ISO, Quality, TPM and other plant initiatives.
- Maintain appointment calendars and reserve meeting rooms following detailed instructions to arrange business meetings efficiently.
- Conduct basic data entry into company systems and file information using agreed procedures to ensure information is accurate and accessible.
- Open and distribute mail for a large organization requiring knowledge of department structures.
- File records or documents as instructed.
- Input content into standard templates. Also take responsibility for collating materials and photocopying them.
- Work according to an assigned schedule.
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma
- Two + years of experience in warehouse, distribution and logistics functions (maintaining schedules, scheduling with customers, trucking, inventory, etc.)
- SAP experience preferred
- Inventory control experience preferred
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
Additional Experience & Knowledge Desired:
