Position Overview:
The successful candidate will partner with the site leadership to successfully lead and manage trucking services Savage provides at our Williston/Dore location.
Here is what you will be doing:
- Mentor and coach a workforce to be skilled in various trucking work load.
- Lead in Safety by setting an example, establishing consistent procedures, conducting training, praising safe behavior, correcting unsafe acts and building a culture of safety
- Work alongside Team Members as they unload trucks, and perform other related activities Communicate with the Operations Manager and SH&E Supervisor on any operational problems or issues and provide an accurate daily report
- Serves as a liaison between Savage and the customer's team on issues and ensure Savage's responsibility is fulfilled and the facility operates as it should
- Train and develops specific needs providing Team Members opportunities for growth
- Establish a strong relationship between Savage and the customer in a way that creates value and provides opportunity to elevate our relationship
Requirements of a successful Logistic Supervisor:
- Experience leading a team in one or more industries: oil and gas operations, transportation, or business managment
- Proven ability to promote an empowered culture of safety where safety and environmental issues are held at a premium
- An established servant leader with the ability to recruit, develop, mentor and build a successful team and bench strength
- Background in relationship management where timely and effective follow-up and follow through with customers, employees and company was a key to success, (do what you say you're going to do)
- Knowledge and experience in the oil and gas environment, particularly Bakken supply chain experience, history including a proven ability to organize people and equipment
- Proven written, oral and presentation skills with an ability to communicate with co-workers, customers, and other company personnel
- Experience in computer based technologies like: TEAMS, EXCEL, GETAB....
Here are some of the physical requirements of this role:
- Exposed to all kinds of weather conditions including extreme cold
- Balance time between field and office location
- Mechanically inclined
- Must be able to climb steps and ladders
