Job Description
- Maintain day-to-day relationship with customers and suppliers
- Oversee the scheduling of shipments shipments
- Assist with production planning, sequencing and daily monitoring of EMOR, EMJIT, JITH, and JITM
- Manage the Logistics Team
- Coordinate with the Logistics Manager to ensure departmental goals are met
- Determine training needs of the Logistics Department
Interact with customers on a daily basis, communicating with them any late or short shipments
Report customer call offs vs. customer forecasts
Communicate with and assist other departments within the organization as required
On Time Delivery reports for management KPI
Check all releases and build manual releases in SAP
Maintain schedule agreements and issue relevant documents in order to meet customer requirements (manual only)
Build delivery notes, ASN’s, and print out shippers/pick lists
Ensure that all data and all transactions are correctly posted and recorded in the system
Create invoices and other documents for shipments outside the US
Manage service requirements and schedule transportation
Complete all other tasks as assigned by departmental manager
Familiar with SAP 4.6
Comfortable using MS-Office
Knowledge of customer requirements and release system
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to provide excellent leadership for the Logistics Team
Exemplary in attendance, time management, and quality of work
Knowledge of customer required web sites
Experience in warehousing and stock control
Ability to take initiative in problem solving
Ability to work without supervision
