Objective of job:
- Lead (technically and disciplinarily) an extensive/complex Logistics department regarding technology, control of production and SCM.
- Support technical design, implementation and sustainment of new concepts, procedures and processes.
- Assure all logistical warehouse operations function in the plant according to a prescribed Set of Standards.
- Responsible for Inventory Control and Stock Accuracy.
Principal Activities:
- Define and implement benchmark level Logistics systems, procedures, job standardization and training of both direct and indirect Logistics personnel.
- Participate and support in all activities in regard to Development Projects and Series and Plant Site Strategies.
- Active Team participation in all company activities and programs (Safety & Security, Quality, Continuous Improvement, Training, Human Resources, 5S and Environment, etc) which apply according to the proper activities of the position.
- Monitor cost development/assure compliance with predetermined budgets/overheads/BDE time determinations and characteristics; implement corrective actions as needed, in cooperation with supervisor.
- Key interface for Logistics daily operational KPI metrics tracking and reporting.
- Assure Team 100% compliance with all DAA and DRX approved processes and procedures.
- Support the strategic planning of the department/unit by breaking down or developing the strategic planning for the group, within a short or medium-range time frame.
- Plan and administer the budget in his/her area of responsibility, in cooperation with the supervisors, ensuring compliance with it.
Job requirements:
- Associates Degree, Logistics/Supply Chain Management.
- Automotive or related manufacturing logistics environment 3-5 years.
- Decisive by nature through critical thinking principles and making quick decisions.
- High tolerance for stressful situations and the ability to manage multiple crisis simultaneously.
- Strong leadership skills to manage direct, indirect and internal cross-functional associates.
- LEAN mindset evaluating systems and processes and coaching associates for development of a continuous improvement culture.
