Summary:
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Procurement manager with all procurement required activities.
- Coordinate with Material Manager for emergency or directed equipment purchases.
- Attend various meetings for pre and post install activities.
- Manage the procurement schedule for BOM equipment purchased by the government and/or Vendor.
- Communicate and track discrepancies for items ordered; contact vendors for prompt resolution.
- Work with Material Manager to ensure substitute and interchangeable equipment are updated in the ALMSS system.
- Create due-in document number for incoming shipment.
- Process due-in document numbers against items received.
- Add due-in document numbers to the tracker/BOM with dates processed.
- Manage Due-in document number log.
- Coordinate with Material Manager for newly assigned part numbers before due-ins can be created.
- Conduct monthly inventories Schedule and prepare equipment to ship for site installs utilizing the organization’s FEDEX account.
- Be able to create reports, memo’s, provide briefings, etc. in order to communicate with personnel at different levels of leadership and management.
- Ability to work under deadline pressure, handle stress and deliver professional results.
- Long hours and weekends may be required to meet deliverables.
- Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds.
- Sit or Stand throughout a regular work day.
- Ability to work on computer for long periods.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment (MHE), i.e. dollies, pallet jacks, forklifts
- Housekeeping is a must and a team effort
- Ability to obtain considerable knowledge of Customer and Logistics policies and regulations that pertain to storage, shipping, and handling of various materials.
- Ability to obtain considerable knowledge of cover and how it pertains to warehouse operations.
- Working knowledge of Windows-based computer applications.
- Ability to obtain a working knowledge of Working Capital Fund business operating procedures.
- Good interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills.
- Ability to operate various material handling equipment in accordance with safety requirements and procedures.
- Ability to safely move material of various sizes and weights throughout the warehouse and onto and of trucks.
- Materials may include crates, furniture, electronics, HAZMAT, lumber, vehicles, 55-gallon drums, and military items.
- Ability to exercise good judgment in decision making and to be creative in problem solving (e.g. maximize space, handle the wide range of materials received, deal with multiple customers and priorities, and resolve inventory discrepancies).
- Ability to read and understand manifests and other documents.
- Ability to maintain accurate records.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance in accordance with Customer regulations.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with minimal oversight.
- Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Safety: Ensuring adherence to all company safety rules and SOPs in area of responsibility
- Rectifying unsafe actions and/or conditions immediately
- Participates in maintaining safe work environment by sharing and participating in all safety related meetings, training, etc
Minimum Requirements:
- Completion of high school or vocational school, a GED certificate or the equivalent.
- Active Secret Clearance
Preferred Requirements:
- Forklift and scissor lift experience desired
- 3 - 5 years wholesale distribution experience
