Job Description
Responsibilities:
The Logistics Department is responsible for providing warehousing and distribution support to field operations. The Logistics Department, receives, stores, issues, and distributes tools, equipment, and materials, to job sites spread throughout Pennsylvania daily. Additionally, the Logistics Department manages the vehicle and equipment fleet, including trucks, forklifts, and trailers. Occasionally, the Logistics Department conducts maintenance on facilities and provides support for special projects. The Logistics Specialist is primarily responsible for executing daily warehouse operations and performing tasks assigned to the Logistics Department.
Duties:
The Logistics Specialist reports to the Logistics Manager for daily tasks which may include but are not limited to; receiving inbound freight, equipment identification, labeling, put away and location identification, order picking, and loading vehicles. The Logistics Specialist performs tool supply duties including tool order picking, putaways, classifications, and maintenance. Occasionally, the Logistics Specialist is required to operate company vehicles and perform deliveries to job sites. Additionally, he/she will perform other duties assigned as identified by the Logistics Manger. The Logistics Specialist must be timely and accurate with all tasks and demonstrate safe work practices.
The Candidate must possess the following:
Knowledge:
• Warehouse operations including receipt, storage, and issue of equipment and tools.
• Distribution operations including loading and unloading trucks, securing loads, and driving.
• Vehicle maintenance procedures.
• Construction equipment required in the HVAC and Plumbing industries.
Skills:
• Proficient in MS office suite.
• Vehicle navigation and use of company-approved apps.
• Written and oral Communication.
• Forklift Operations.
• Identify and classify equipment and tools.
Abilities:
• Work effectively in a cross functional team environment.
• Operate trucks, vehicles, and equipment in a safe manner.
• Provide a positive representation of the company.
• Read and interpret SOPs.
• Work as a member of a team.
Qualifications:
• Highschool Diploma
• 1-3 years of warehouse, logistics, or supply operations
• Valid Driver’s License Clean Background Check
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work required hours.
• Must have a pleasing personality and cooperative attitude.
• Drug screen test is required due to the safety-sensitive nature of the position.
