As a Logistics Management Specialist you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter.HOW A Logistics Management Specialist WILL MAKE AN IMPACT Required Experience: Minimum eight (8) years of experience in managing Logistics programs working a minimum of 5 out of the 10 Logistics Elements or combined twelve years of experience in two or more of the following areas:Program execution oversightAnalytical and problem solving related to logistical issuesSoftware defined radio or similar Desired knowledge, skills, abilities, education and experience:Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or universityDefense Acquisition University Logistics Level III or equivalent certificationExperience in supporting Department of the Navy, Air Force or Army projects to include performing professional or technical logistics workExperience supporting, coordinating and managing Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) products and servicesExperience in supporting ILS acquisition and technical tasks required to provide ILS requirements for the design, development, integration, implementation and evolution of programs and initiativesExperience in coordinating with Department of Defense platforms to validate ILS requirements and implement plans to meet requirementsExperience in conducting supportability studies, reliability and maintainability analyses, assessments and remedial actions for assigned systemsExperience in translating requirements to specificationsExperience assisting program personnel with “total system” logistics planning and timely implementation of support for all system installationsExperience in gathering technical information, calculating, analyzing data and present logistics metrics for vendor’s and field Reliability, Availability and Maintainability data via Microsoft productsExperience in preparing and attending conferences involving program/project analysisExperience in collaborating and coordinating with a cross matrix organization to ensure contracts and deliverables are adequately reviewed from a total logistics perspectiveExperience in gathering technical information, calculating, analyzing data and present logistics metrics for vendor’s and field Reliability, Availability and Maintainability data via Microsoft products.Experience in tracking squadron deployments and aircraft deliveries to ensure deliveries of products as requiredExperience in planning, coordinating and administering key meetings such as IPTs, Integrated Logistics Support Management Teams, and other Logistics Management and technical meetingsExperience in preparing detailed meeting minutes for senior leadership and tracking action items for internal and external meetings and conferencesProficient in the use of Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and ExcelUnderstanding of reliability, maintainability, and logistics requirements documented in USC Title 10, DoDI 5000.02, DoDD 5000.01, and NAVINST 5000.2.Experience in assessing and presenting production issues and challenges, as well as, identifying and recommending solutions to leadershipExperience in supporting the development and review of integrated logistics planning documentsAbility to contribute Experience with coordinating, writing, reviewing and updating logistics relevant informationExperience in assessing adherence to “focused logistics” requirements for rapid crisis response, tracking and shifting assets in route, and “tailored” logistics support packageExperience in evaluating ILS impacts in CM documentation and engineering change proposalsExperience in assisting efforts to manage and provide oversight of Support Equipment developmentWHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED: Education: Associate Degree from an accredited college or two (2) years of college credits from an accredited four year college or university, or a High School Diploma with at least ten (8) years of relevant military logistics experience may be substituted for a degree Location: San Diego, CA Clearance: Active Secret clearance required GDIT IS YOUR PLACE:401K with company matchComprehensive health and wellness packagesInternal mobility team dedicated to helping you own your careerProfessional growth opportunities including paid education and certificationsCutting-edge technology you can learn fromRest and recharge with paid vacation and holidays
