Position Summary
The Logistics Coordinator position is responsible for the management of W-L Fleetwatchers program to ensure all fleet is monitored daily ensuring trucks are receiving appropriate pay according to W-L policy. The position will work closely with Truck foreman and accounting staff daily. The position will work with trucking vendors, asphalt, and plant operations to ensure that the integrated logistics planning process is effectively and efficiently utilized.
Duties and Responsibilities
60% Operations
- Lead and guide the full utilization of logistics programs (Fleetwatcher, Required Reporting, Trucking Analysis) in all asphalt and materials operation.
- Monitor all subcontracted trucking resources for all material hauls and pay.
- Achieve maximum productivity by ensuring necessary materials are provided as needed at job locations.
- Knowledgeable of daily schedules and trucking analysis being performed.
- Stay informed on latest technologies and ideas in logistics.
30% Technical
- Set up jobs, geozones, and equipment in Fleetwatchers software.
- Ensure Fleetwatchers units are operational and up-to date.
- Install and repair/replace new or defective Fleetwatchers units.
- Manage Fleetwatchers contract.
- Provide technical support and administrative analysis.
- Develop and validate all methods of productivity analysis.
5% Safety and Compliance
- Follows company policy, guidelines, and procedures.
- Provides and ensure proper PPE is worn, including vendors/contractors.
- Coordinates with the office on certifications.
5% Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma
Required Experience
- (1) One year experience with construction operations and fleet management.
- Knowledge of asphalt placement operations and trucking logistics.
- Technical experience in installation of electronic equipment preferred.
- Fleetwatchers software experience is preferred.

Physical and Mental Demands
The following applies to all full-time positions within W-L Construction & Paving, Inc., a CRH Company.
- Work more than 40 hours a week, which may include nights and weekends.
- Travel as required and work at different locations.
- Ability to function under pressure and meet deadlines.
