The company is looking to hire a logistics administrative Assistant/Document Clerk whose job duties will include but not be limited to manage documentation and assist the operations dept in their purchase documents, delivery tickets, shipping docs etc. A proficiency in computers, especially Microsoft Office and Excel is very important. The ideal candidate will need to have very fast typing speed. The following will be the main scope of work but not limited to:
1) Working with the procurement and logistics team to prepare vendor quotes, delivery tickets, check in material and other tasks as assigned by the team leader ensuring attention to detail.
2) should have experience in shipping and freight document management while being aware of working in warehouse.
3) Responding to vendor and freight forwarder emails in a timely (same day response time), professional and efficient manner.
4) Answering phones and communicating with vendors and freight forwarders in a professional and proficient manner.
5) Maintaining the current filing system and keeping it updated.
6) Following all required rules and systems of The company.
The above are the main responsibilities but not limited to this as we expect every team member to step up and do what is required as the need arises.
The company is a supply and trading business for the oil and gas industry in Houston for the last 10 years. We are a very fast paced and dynamic organization and are on the lookout for personnel who can match us as well as keep up with the pace.
Minimum Qualifications required:
1) Must know how to use the computer and operate programs especially Microsoft office - word and excel.
2) Knowledge of QuickBooks.
3) Should be proficient in writing professional email responses.
4) Must be polite, calm and unhurried under pressure and should converse with clients in a professional manner.
5) Punctuality, honesty and being a team player are well recognized traits.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
