Job Summary:

This position is responsible for daily/monthly reporting, remitting and reconciling of mortgage loan activity for assigned Agency Investors (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Ginnie Mae) to whom the loan has been sold. The Investor Reporting Analyst is also responsible for the review and reconciliation of loan/servicing transfers to ensure all funds have been accounted and transfers are performed within Investor guidelines, as well as performing any day to day operations as it relates to mortgage servicing. This position requires independent thinking and a solid understanding of the industry and reporting requirements.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain Investor reporting and remittance deadlines established for each investor and insuring agency
  • Perform Investor Reporting and remitting accurately and on time to avoid penalties and compensatory fees assessed by the Investor
  • Resolve reporting or remittance differences by performing detailed loan level analysis and clear exceptions based on each investor’s requirements
  • Understand various Investor Reporting systems
  • Perform monthly custodial account reconciliations including additional investor requirements.
  • Complete reconciliations in MSP. Also excel as needed.
  • Perform monthly Test of Expected Cash reconciliations per investor guidelines.
  • Prepare newly purchased loans for interim servicing, loan transfers and reconciling purchase information.
  • Research and resolve all reconciling items in a timely manner to ensure corporate and investor compliance.
  • Reviews transactions and related documents and verifies work processes to ensure completeness, accuracy and conformance to established service levels and policies and procedures.
  • Set up new investors including but not limited to, new headers, custodial accounts and policies and procedures.
  • Validate data received from other departments and resolve discrepancies as needed, e.g., modifications, liquidations, transfers, service releases
  • Perform daily system balancing
  • Maintain departmental accounting logs
  • Assist with cash management functions as needed
  • Periodically review and update written policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and relevance for processing
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Have strong organization skills, the ability to learn quickly, and accuracy/timeliness in completing tasks.
  • Perform all actions in accordance with policies and procedures of the company.
  • Expected to meet productivity guidelines of the position.
  • Effectively use software specific for the position and Microsoft office products.
  • Work well with other members of the EHL team and be willing to fill in when needed.

 

Specific Skills/ Knowledge/ Abilities Required for Position:

      • High school diploma or one-year certificate from college or technical school
      • Minimum of one year in mortgage servicing industry, Investor Accounting required
      • Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac or Ginnie Mae Loan Servicing experience required
      • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
      • Experience with Black Knight/MSP Loan Servicing software preferred
      • Strong problem solving and communication skills
      • Possess knowledge of general ledger accounting
      • Knowledge of bank reconciliation process
      • Demonstrated ability to read, interpret and analyze accounts and records of a complex, detailed and recurring nature
      • Must possess working knowledge of mortgage loans, e.g., calculate interest, amortize loans
      • Exercise good judgment and strong character, motivated, hard working.
      • Ability to work well with fellow associates, clients and vendors.

       

      Physical Requirements:

      • Ability to work in a fast-paced, occasionally noisy environment. 
      • May be required to drive for business purposes and if so, must hold a driver’s license in good standing and maintain personal auto insurance in compliance with EHL’s Auto Insurance policy.
      • Must be able to speak and hear, lift and carry up to twenty-five pounds (25 lbs.) or occasionally more. 
      • Requires all forms of dexterity and mobility throughout the shift. 
      • Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, sit climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
      • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

       

      Benefits and Perks:

Basic Life/AD&D insurance for eligible associates as well as a Short-term Disability benefit are provided by Evergreen.  Additional Voluntary Life/AD&D, Long-term Disability benefits and Legal/ID protection plans paid for by the associate are also available. Associates are automatically enrolled in Evergreen’s 401(k) plan. Personal Time Off (PTO) of up to 13.34 hours may be earned monthly and associates may enjoy 9 paid holidays each year.       Compensation:

      The base annual range for this position is $19.14 - $35.88 hour, depending on a number of factors including location and experience.
