Loan Operations Assistant - Booking and Servicing

The teammate is responsible for Booking and Servicing for commercial and consumer loan accounts, as assigned, providing the highest quality of service to every customer and serving as a point of contact for questions and training.

Essential Functions:

• Delivers exceptional customer service by responding to questions, providing information and assistance to ensure that accounts are serviced in an accurate and timely manner
• Performs and/or serves as backup for one or more of the following areas of responsibility, as assigned:

Booking & Servicing: Responsible for all tasks related to the uploading of a loan to the host system and the proper maintenance and Servicing of loan accounts and client requests

• Reviews loan documents to ensure that they agree with the approved terms of the loan and follow policies and regulations
• Enters customer and loan application information into the Jack Henry core system
• Reviews and ensures receipt and validity of loan documents
• Reviews all data entry to ensure accuracy
• Responds to and researches credit bureau requests and any corresponding maintenance
• Balances general ledger accounts; prepares and distributes various related reports
• Responds to verbal and written requests for payoff quotes
• Processes all incoming payments

Required Education, Experience and Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent educational experience
• One year loan servicing or related experience preferred
• Proven skill in reviewing/interpreting loan documentation
• For booking/servicing: Demonstrates understanding of the inner workings of commercial/consumer loans (i.e. interest calculations, loan participations, general ledgers) in order to be able to set up and maintain accounts
• Knowledge of compliance/regulations related to collateral and loan servicing helpful
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• High level of computer proficiency and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and similar applications; knowledge of the Jack Henry core system helpful
• Excellent customer service, communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently under pressure to meet deadlines; ability to organize and prioritize tasks

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Experience:

• Loan Servicing: 1 year (Preferred)
• setting up &/or maintaining loan accounts: 1 year (Preferred)
