Loan Operation Assistant

Full time position for someone who wants to make a real difference in people’s lives.

This is a full-time SALARIED position with The Cash Flow Company; a fast growing, small but national company.

The primary duties of the Loan Operation Assistant look a lot like a combination of Loan Processing Assistant, Office Assistant, Marketing Assistant, and Intake Assistant. You will support the Chief Operations Coordinator in a wide variety of day-to-day projects, programs, and processes to support their growing businesses and influence.

The Cash Flow company works specifically with business owners committed to improving our communities and running a profitable company. We provide capital, knowledge and assistance to borrowers primarily in the real estate community that seek lending outside the traditional banking community.

We provide funding from traditional bank or institutional placement to hardmoney and equity partnerships.

Though most of our borrowers chose not to borrower from the traditional sources we still provide them a path or a bridge back to banking.

Our customers rely on us for fast and friendly service. Fast and reliable is what they expect from the company and the people who make up the company.

Our core values:
We believe in Stakeholders who are sold out to what we’re doing, not employees who punch clocks. No one is an employee. Everyone is a Stakeholder because we only want people who will “own” their work, not just do it. Employees have to be told what to do, Stakeholders are proactive and make the job better.

We don’t have stringent working hours. We’re not interested in who’s car was in the parking lot first or who left last – we believe in working together as Committed Community to get results for each other and business owners.

The ideal candidate loves to serve others and make THEM successful, and people deeply respect them for that approach to life. This is a position for someone who wants to make meaning, not just money, and have an ongoing impact in the lives of business owners.

This person doesn’t have a need to draw attention to themselves, but they probably will, simply because they enjoy being so outgoing. They can’t help themselves, they are always paying attention to the needs of others.

They are infectiously positive, which is very different than getting excited about shiny objects or chasing squirrels. They are not easily distracted by a constant stream of “new things”, but are very focused on seeing what they can do to help people get from where they are, to where they want to be.

This person lives in a world of abundance (how can I make you successful?), not in a world of scarcity (there is only so much to go around, so I better get mine before I help you get yours.)

Responsibilities include:

  • Living out our Vision statement – “Serve others, bring energy, finish strong, travel well and love the day. “ You don’t just work here, you get out of bed and come to work because you want to live well by doing good things to help business owners move forward. You have to take on this vision and make it your own like everyone at our company. It’s not a nice statement on a wall, but a way we live at work and at home.
  • Live out our Mission statement – “Joyfully serving growing small business owners to create the path to grow when other lenders say no by providing outside eyes, open truthful communication and simplifying the financial world. .” Too many business owners have forgotten this was supposed to be fun and fulfilling – every time they meet you, your presence will remind them it should be.
  • The mindset of an “owner”. We have Stakeholders, and no matter how many hours you spend with us, you’re as much a part of what we do as anyone. You need to have that mindset – you are an incredibly valuable part of our team and our customers will get to know you and lean on you to help them.
  • The mindset of an Adult – We’re not looking for someone who needs to be told what to do, when to show up, what time recess is, and when they need to go home. We’re looking for someone who is a self-managed, self-motivated adult who knows what RESULT we want, and enjoys taking the bull by the horns to get it done, without being watched, managed or directed. We all work together in community to get things done, and we need someone who will join us as an equal team member, not as an “underling” or employee/child.
  • Greeting business owners over the phone and or in person – THIS IS A CRITICAL PART OF YOUR RESONSIBLIITIES. you may be one of the first people our business owners meet within TNS and first impressions mean everything. You will be responsible in helping answer questions, provide suggestions and or guide them to the people or information they desire.
  • Working hand in hand with the originators and operations – we are a small company and we all must work together to serve our clients.
  • Performing a range of simple to sometimes complex office work (entering contact info, updating flyers, sending newsletters, keeping schedules for events, working with event locations, keeping spreadsheets of existing clients, updating, adding/deleting/changing, printing, collating, assembling)
  • Working with word documents, spreadsheets, Open Leads and other software & applications .
  • Customer retention and follow up –responsible for customer surveys, feedback and testimonials.
  • Loan Administration – posting updates to Mortgage Office and Open leads along with following up on loan closing and recorded documents. Ability to process newly originated loans and assist with Operations Managers files in process.
  • A Results-Based motivation – we don’t watch clocks. We all know what result we need to get and are focused on that. In contrast, we are definitely NOT Time-Based (the car in the parking lot the longest does NOT win). Get your work done and enjoy life.
  • Learn what we do and make it your own –We know there are better ways to accomplish the work that needs to be done and we give you the room to do it your way as long as they align with our values and mission.
  • Hours – We have flexibility in the schedule you can work we just require your schedule work for the full team.
  • Pay – will be commensurate with the talents, initiative and motivation you bring to the position. We won’t let pay stand in the way of getting the right person.
  • Expressingour brand digitally (working with multiple websites and cloud apps; actively tweeting and building our Facebook, Meetup, LinkedIn, Pinterest and YouTube followers)
  • Not knowing exactly what every day will hold – every day is unique and different and here we don’t always know what the day will bring.
  • Acting as if you own the company – (taking initiative and ownership, making decisions, thinking ahead and being proactive (we don’t need “reactive”), working with others to constantly make things better and deliver better products and services every day.
  • You can see that you will be an integral part of the TNS community and our business, will attend our monthly team meetings for planning and strategy, and will be expected to chime right in as if you owned the place.

Preferred skills:

  • Mortgage origination - Experience talking and working with clients with mortgage needs.
  • Sincere relational skills – not party-animal emotionalism (although being genuinely excited is fine), but great people-sense.
  • The desire to serve others – you get energized by helping other people, serving them and making them successful.
  • Applicants must have a wide range of administrative and communication skills as well as practical business skills and high competency in messing around with social media.
  • Strong attention to detail –Though its fast pace doing it right comes first!
  • Great communication skills in person, on the phone, and in writing.
  • Competency in- word processing, databases, email, and maybe simple graphic design, along with cloud apps and social media sites.
  • Team player – you enjoy working in “community”, not alone. You need to be around people to stay motivated.
  • Ability to logically solve problems with little supervision
  • Ability to organize, monitor, and track numerous ongoing and one-time activities, events and projects
  • Initiative and the ability to figure things out on your own
  • Comfortable with change and working in unknown situations
  • Discretion in handling and communicating sensitive information
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once in a fast-paced environment
  • A positive attitude and willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done
