Essential Job Functions-Description:

• Mortgage Loan Origination
  • Originate mortgage loans, including offering and negotiating terms of a loan, taking loan applications, and verifying and obtaining information from consumers and business partners
  • Achieve loan production numbers as expected by Branch Manager
  • Work with branch and corporate team members on loan files (e.g., processors, underwriters, etc.)
  • Develop marketing plan to exceed Fairway's goals for loan quality and productivity
  • Maintain knowledge of all Fairway policies and guidelines and understanding of all company products
  • Adhere to all company policies and guidelines and federal and state regulations related to mortgage lending, including, but not limited to the SAFE Act
  • Respond to consumers and business partners' inquiries regarding mortgage loan products in a timely fashion
  • Advise consumers of Fairway's lending guidelines and procedures
  • Analyze consumers' financial data to identify appropriate products to meet their financial goals
• Network Development
  • Develop and maintain a network of real estate agents, builders, and other professionals who can provide on-going sources of business referrals by participating in professional organizations and community activities
  • Frequently attends offsite events
• Performs other duties as assigned

Required Experience

• Demonstrated experience analyzing and interpreting data.
• Demonstrated experience working in a fast paced and changing environment.
• Demonstrated experience with MS Office products.

• Mortgage Corporation through the NMLS for every state in which they conduct business before representing themselves as a mortgage loan originator.
• SAFE Act Compliant and mortgage loan originator license in the state in which loans are being originated
• Demonstrated experience in retail loan origination / sales preferred, including: | 2+ years of recent loan origination experience | Consistent source of referral-based business from realtors, builders, attorneys, financial professionals, etc. | Proven loan origination in the last 2 consecutive years
• Demonstrated experience using available information to make sound business decisions
• Demonstrated experience with attention to detail, written and oral communication, multi-tasking, managing a loan pipeline (preferred), and working in a team atmosphere adhering to tight deadlines

Required Knowledge and Skills

• Solid knowledge and understanding of a variety of loan programs including Conventional, FHA, USDA, VA and secondary marketing guidelines to manage complex loan level issues.
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of customer service and intrapersonal best practices.
• Solid knowledge and understanding of mortgage-related terms, such as escrow, taxes, closing documents and insurance.
• Solid knowledge and understanding of mortgage lending processes, procedures and regulations.
• Solid knowledge and understanding of state and federal real estate lending regulations.

• Extensive knowledge and understanding of building quality client relationships

Minimum Education Preferred

• High School or GED

• Loan Originators must have an active mortgage loan originator license sponsored by Fairway Independent

Physical Environment

• This position is primarily an in office position. Normal office environment.

Travel Local travel may be required for company or career-related meetings, programs and/or events.
