Loan Document Specialist - Due Diligence
Orders appraisals, Flood Certifications, and Certificates of Good Standing and UCC Lien Searches through third party databases. Performs quality control on closed loans to ensure proper input into tracking system. Prepares loan files for submission to file room, and compiles data for various regulatory reporting. Reviews pay off letters and monitors banking system to confirm payoff and prepares necessary collateral releases, when applicable.
The key responsibilities of the role:
1. Orders appraisals and Flood Certifications through third party management company software, orders Certificates of Good Standing and prepares UCC filings through CSC database.
2. Performs quality control on Loan Documentation Unit to ensure all tracking items are properly input into Baker Hill.
3. Records mortgages, coordinates on the issuance of final title policies, and further coordinates with Loan Documentation Unit to clear item(s) from deficiency reporting.
4. Prepares loan files for submission to file room, prepares KYC checklist when applicable, completes LDU tracking submission to identify original Loan Documents submitted to file room.
5. Completes files and compiles for reporting for CRA and HMDA.
6. Reviews files and completes Consumer and Business compliance checklists as part of the post closing review.
7. Reviews Loan Boarding Report for closed loans to assist with compliance checklist and reporting.
8. Reviews paid loan checklist and payoff letters received by Custom Loan Specialist team, monitors banking system for loan payoff and prepares necessary collateral releases, when applicable.
Qualifications
1 - 2 years related experience in financial industry operations or lending.
Knowledge of personal and commercial Loan Documentation and lending terminology usually acquired through experience or training, is required.
Personal computer skills are required to use computer applications software.
Communications skills are required to consult with internal partners to address any questions or concerns.
