Summary: Promotesand maintains positive relations with all contacts, customers and potentialcustomers, prepares loan files, and establishes a rapport with the customer forcross-selling other bank products.

- High School education or equivalent education or training, or a combination of education and training.
- At least one year's clerical experience.
- Basic Accounting knowledge.
- Satisfactory Credit Bureau and Background report.
- Typing, 10-key Calculator, Fax Machine, Photocopier, Computer skills required including Word and Excel programs.
- Critical thinking and using logic and reasoning to complete loan paperwork
- Good verbal, written and telephone communication skills.
- Ability to maintain composure and skilled in customer service.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
Duties andResponsibilities:
- Maintain a strict standard of confidentiality involving transactions.
- Produce, prepare and process all documentation for new loans, including consumer, commercial, farm loans, home equity lines of credit and extensions and revisions with completeness and accuracy from beginning to end.
- Comply with all department and company objectives and goals.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations regarding lending policies including a thorough knowledge of RESPA.
- Professionalism and courtesy in dealing with customers and branches.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Efficient with software programs including knowledge of Word and Excel.
- Demonstrate prioritization and time management skills and attention to detail.
- Research and resolve problems with minimal supervision.
- May participate in training of new employees.
- Other Loan Processor Duties:
- Work with documentation clerk to clear outstanding exceptions to loan files.
- Call attorneys, appraisers and insurance agents.
- Organize and set up loan file and file notes.
- Prepare loan payments and general ledger tickets.
- Understanding of Other Real Estate (ORE) procedures.
- Process charge-off transactions and record-keeping.
- Construction loans - draw request and procedures.
- Document and monitor participations with other lenders.
- Preparation of Board Reports.
- Flood determination.
- Preparation of auto titles and reports.
- Financial Statement Requirements.
- Appraisals.
- Order required credit reports, NADA reports, GEO Coding.
- Check and review of signed noted and loan files to ensure compliance and accuracy (second audit required on some loans).
- Order and Mail Coupon Books.
- Work insurance and flood cancellations (send required notices on food cancellations).
- Document tracing - loan exceptions.
- Check loan tickets.
- Paid out loans.
- Prepare Adverse Action Notices.
